Fire Prevention Week 2013

Did you know that most home fires start in the kitchen? Unattended cooking causes millions of dollars in fire damage each year and can result in injuries, sometime even death.

During Fire Prevention Week (October 6-12, 2013) the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) is spreading the “Prevent Kitchen Fires” message and teaching people how to prevent cooking fires from starting.

As a fire restoration provider Disaster One sees first-hand how devastating the results can be and we’re doing our part to help the NFPA spread the word. You can find a wealth of advice in our article 16 Fire Prevention Tips for Home and Work. The NFPA also has lots of facts and information about Fire Prevention Week that we hope you’ll check out.

We hope you never have to deal with a fire at home or at work. But if it happens, Disaster One can provide fire damage cleanup, repairs and reconstruction, water removal, and even contents restoration. Visit www.DisasterOne.com or call us at 800-277-4787 to learn more.
