Disaster One takes pride in our leadership position in the field of property restoration. Industry leaders stay on the cutting edge of development and technology by maintaining certifications and affiliations with industry organizations that focus on procedure standardization, tools and strategies from the industry. We are currently members /participating in the following organizations

Restoration Industry Association (RIA), founded in 1946, is the oldest and largest trade association for the cleaning & restoration industry. Disaster One has been a member since 1988.
The mission of the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) is to identify and promote an international standard of care that establishes and maintains the health, safety, and welfare of the built environment. Disaster One has been a Certified Firm since 1981.
The American Council for Accredited Certification (ACAC) promotes awareness, education and certification for professionals. Their mission is to establish credible certification programs that provide value to certificants, their clients and the public.
IMACC (Independent Mitigation and Cleaning/Conservation) is the nation’s largest network of independent restoration contractors, all carefully selected based on their verified reputations as highly qualified, ethical quality leaders in your community. Every IMACC contractor is properly insured, licensed, and certified as an expert by the most respected authorities in the restoration business. Doing It Right, Right Away!
Mid-South Professional Cleaners Association (MSPCA) was formed in 1976 and serves as a regional trade association for contract cleaners, carpet, upholstery and rug cleaners and disaster restoration contractors.
EPA requires that firms performing renovation, repair and painting projects that disturb lead-based paint in pre-1978 homes, child care facilities, and schools be certified by EPA and that they use certified renovators who are trained by EPA training providers to follow lead-safe work practices.

Council-certified Indoor Environmental Consultant
Required: 8 years experience consulting on indoor environmental issues including asbestos, lead, HVAC, building science, chemicals, mold and microbial contamination.
Council-certified Microbial Remediation Supervisor
Required: 5 years experience remediating microbial issues in the indoor environment.
Council-certified Structural Drying Supervisor
Required: 8 years experience in the design and execution of structural drying projects.
